When I was a kid, I would watch award shows and see big music stars and big time actors saying they loved their fans. It always made me crack up, knowing none of them would ever go out of their way to give any of their fans the time of day. It’s actually kept me from saying I love my/our fans on…
I find this extremely touching and I 100% believe thet all of these feelings expressed come from the heart. It’s nice to not feel like a stepping stone or part of a paycheck. I attended Trains San Diego show last summer, and my friends and I were really surprised by the sincerity and genuine love that was shown. Pat, you actually spoke of being nervous as you listened to Gavin Degraw and Maroon 5 and being worried about how well you’d do. We all found the lack of ego so refreshing. Money is tight and concerts aren’t cheap, so when I go to one and find the artists to be arrogant, I regret investing in them. You, Jimmy, Scott and the amazing people that work with you continue to be a great investment of my time, money and admiration.
